the River Island sale started yesterday morning and through pure coincidence (i HONESTLY was not queuing outside before they opened) i managed to be one of the first 50 people into the store, which entitled me to a whopping additional 50% off the sale price! Well i’d have been a fool not to take an offer like that seriously so i knuckled down and got to business, making a bee-line for some shoes i’d fallen in love with on a previous shopping trip. being made of white lace i’d considered what occasion these shoes would be appropriate for and made a sensible decision: these will be the shoes i wear to get married in. they’re so bridal, but the studs give them bit of edge, they’ll be perfect on my big day. not that i have my big day planned, or indeed a marriage proposal. but it’s good to be prepared! they’ll be kept in the box at the back of my wardrobe for the next few years. 
Beautiful: yes. But here’s the really exciting bit. Full price they were £100 , and had been reduced to £50 – so I got them for £25!
This lil beaut I got for a tenner, instead of £45. I’m hoping with a bit of fringing I can rock a bit of a Cavalli-desert-princess kinda look.

Also snatched up this dinky little handbag for less than 25% of the original price
and a long, holey knit jumper that I dithered over (you know when you pick something up, put it back then pick it up again, repeat this process even whilst in the queue to pay until you don’t remember when you leave the shop whether you even bought it or not? yeah, that) but have pretty much not taken off since, so it was a clearly required.
all in all, an unexpectedly great haul! now i’ve just gotta get married to crack them shoes out…
