Somewhere between seeing the Artist (which I can’t recommend highly enough by the way – it’s wonderful), reading The Rules of Civility by Amor Towles and reading a biography of Mae West, I’ve become a bit fascinated with the 1930’s. And with W.E. showcasing all manner of Wallis Simpson’s glorious 30’s clobber, it seems to be the hot retro-reference right now.
